To Ms. Goodman's Family -

I learned of Ms. Goodman's passing just today and am deeply saddened to hear this news. Ms. Goodman was my teacher at Fernwood over 30 years ago - 1972/1973. I loved her very much and when I would run in to her around town, it was always a great reunion. She was my teacher and my friend. What I remember about her is that she was funny and had a great laugh. I am now a 51 year old woman with a 9 year child - and I hope he has a teacher that will admire and respect as I have Ms. Goodman.

Annie and Brad,
I was so saddened to hear about your mom's death; I knew nothing about her illness. I apologize for being unable to attend her memorial.
Knowing your parents, I know they would tell you to depend on God to get through this time; I tell you the same as they would. Both your parents were lovely people.

Sincere sympathy,
Carolyn Walker

Annie and Brad, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a great woman who loved my grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks. I know that she is now in a better place and is no longer in pain. May she find your dad and my grandfather and have a grand reunion with the both of them in heaven now.

She was a great woman and has a wonderful family.

What an amazing woman! She was a true witness to the Christian faith. She kept her eyes on her Father all the while fighting this ferocious battle. It brings great joy to my heart every time I think of Mary and her precious smile and sweet eyes that twinkled when she laughed. I will miss her greatly! Laura Allen

Ms. Goodman was my Algebra teacher at Fernwood about 30 years ago, but I still speak with admiration for her today! I was just telling my daughter last weekend what a difference a great teacher makes and I told her that my favorite teacher was Ms. Goodman.

She always seemed so happy and bubbly toward life and she made Algrebra fun and that in itself is amazing! She challenged us, but never set us up for failure. In her class I gained more than the knowledge of Algebra - I gained self-confindence.

I hate to see that she passed away so young and I hope that she did not suffer. I hope that her family knows what a blessing she was to those that crossed her path. I will always remember Ms. Goodman fondly and I know that might sound corny, but she had a gift in building self esteem in awkward teenagers and I'm very greatful that I knew her.
