Mary Lou Maxey Grimmett, 83, of Little Rock, died April 23, 2016. Born March 26, 1933 in Texarkana, Texas, she was the daughter of J.C. and Rachel Barnett Orr. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed Elvis, dancing and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Bill, Henry "Doc" and Pyron; and two sisters, Nellie and Sarah. Survivors are two daughters, Dee Haislip (Hal), and Pam Wooldridge; and a son, Tony Maxey (Tina) all of Little Rock; a sister, Julia Anthony of Texarkana, Arkansas; a brother, Calvin Dean of Quinlan, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Jacob, Rachel and Aimee-Rose; and 4 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Lorelei, Mahala and Malaki.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock (501) 661-9111, with Rev. Kenneth Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

Aunt Mary Lou was the best Aunt ever. I loved going to see her in the summer for a week. We would get up early and go to the restaurant to make homemade rolls.I will miss her so much.
