Mary Ann Guianen

Mary Ann Stewart Guianen, age 71 of Nashville, Tennessee went to her eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2022.

She was born April 5, 1951 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Eugenia and Paul R Stewart, Sr.

In Mary's younger years in Pennsylvania, she developed a love of the outdoors and animals, especially horses, becoming an avid rider of her horses, Lightning and Leader along with her younger brother, Michael. After graduating from Fort LeBoeuf high school, Mary worked at Tanner Manufacturing before taking on her greatest role, that of mother to her two children.

She moved her family to Fort Myers, Florida in 1980 where she worked for the Crystek Corporation making quartz crystals for frequency products as well as the Fort Myers News-Press where she faithfully delivered newspapers for over 15 years.

Eventually, Mary began her encore career with Publix where she incorporated her skill, creativity, and love of baking by serving as head baker in their Bakery Department. Transferring and moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2005, she retired from Publix after 25 years of dedicated service.

During her retirement, Mary loved spending time with and traveling with her two children and adored her numerous family pets - Foxy Lady, Jovi, Jagger, Bowie, Timon, and Magnum.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Paul R. Stewart, Sr. and Eugenia Weber Stewart Skelly (husband Alvin); three brothers, Allan, Paul Jr., and Michael Stewart. She is survived by her two children Ricky Lewis Guianen, Jr. and Kelly Marie Guianen, both of Nashville, Tn, her sister Paulette Sullivan, stepbrother Larry Skelly (wife Connie), and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be having a private ceremony out of state and asks that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to your local animal shelter in her name.
