(nee Bradford) Janette and Nan would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for the support and many expressions of sympathy received on the loss of their Mum, Mary Hamilton (Leadhills). Thanks to all those who attended the service at Upper Clyde Parish Church, Abington and at Leadhills Cemetery and for your generous retiring collection of £700 which will be donated to Alzheimer Scotland, a charity Mum supported since the death of our Dad. We would especially like to thank the Rev Nikki Macdonald for her uplifting service which was a joyful celebration of our Mum's multifaceted life in the community of her beloved Leadhills and in her service to her church. We should also like to express our thanks to the Rev Nancy Norman, our cousin Janis Scott, and Doreen Forney for their participation in the service. Grateful thanks to Ian Brown, Funeral Directors, for their kindness and assistance with all the funeral arrangements and to the Hopetoun Arms Hotel, Leadhills for the funeral tea. Special thanks go to the Carers from South Lanarkshire Home Care Service whose visits twice a day over the past few years allowed our Mum to live independently in her own home right up until the end, as did the care received from the GPs, Moffat Surgery. Also to her many friends of all ages from the village and beyond whose visits and assistance again helped to make this possible. Thanks also to the nursing staff in the Emergency Care Unit, University Hospital Wishaw.
