CONNEAUT — Mary Ellen Heinonen, 59, of Conneaut, died Tuesday afternoon, June 2, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born August 2, 1949, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Archie and Edith (Campanelli) Trizna.Mary Ellen was a sales clerk for Lukjan Metal Products in Conneaut. She was a member of St. Mary-St. Frances Cabrini Churches and enjoyed reading, walking and shopping, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat "Abby."Survivors include her parents, of Conneaut; her husband, David A. Heinonen, whom she married December 2, 1972; two sons, Josh Heinonen of Streetsboro, OH, and Justin (Elizabeth) Heinonen of East Lansing, MI; and two brothers, Archie Trizna and Lou (Peggy) Trizna, all of Conneaut.She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her uncle Donald Campanelli.A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 6, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas officiating, assisted by Rev. Franklin Gore. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.Friends may call at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, on Friday, June 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
