I did not have the privilege of knowing this couple but when I read this it brought tears to my eyes because of the love that these two people had for each other. I can only hope and pray that I find that kind of love. I'm so very sorry for the family's loss but it's beautiful and heartwarming to know that their last wish was fulfilled and that they are together just the way that they always wanted to be. God bless

My family attended West Erwin Church years ago with the Higginboothams. They were always smiling and friendly. I lost my own beloved husband Howard in June and still grieving. We were married at 15 and 16 and loved happily ever after. My heart goes out to the family. "To be absent from the body is tto be present with the Lord." We were married 69 years. What a blessing!
