Mary Frances Cheek Hodge, 4/11/1920 - 3/6/2015. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Cheek; husband, Kenneth E. Hodge; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert E. Hodge; brother and sister in-law, Donald E. Cheek and Shirley J. Cheek, St. Clair Shores, MI; brother and sister-in-law, Roy W. Moyers and Mauverine M. Moyers, San Leandro, CA; niece, Judy Lynn Cheek, Detroit, MI; grand-niece, Shelley Beaver, Stayton, OR; and dear respected friend, Joseph E. Howard, Knoxville, TN.

Survived by nieces, Beth Ann Cheek (Krum), Redford, MI, and JoAnn Moyers (Beaver), Stayton, OR; nephews, Douglas M. Cheek, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, and Lawrence B. Moyers, San Lorenzo, CA; and many grand nieces and nephews. Dear and trusted friends, Marty Murphy and Mike McKenzie, and the entire staff at Shannondale Health Care Center.

She was an Executive/Owner of the Hubert E. Hodge Printing Company, at retirement. She was the past President of Alpha Circle of the King's Daughters and Sons, Ossoli Circle, Deane Hill Garden Club, and very active in her Knoxville High School -Class of 1938 Association, serving as Secretary. Also a member of the Knoxville Opera Angels, Bearden Lions Club, District 12-N Lions Cabinet, Knoxville Symphony League, Blount Mansion Association, Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities, Past Recording Secretary of the State Federation of Garden Clubs, and Branch of the King's Daughters and Sons, and was an advisor, for seventeen years, to The Junior King's Daughters. She was honored twice by her Bearden Lions Club, 12-N Lions District Governors, with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. In November 2014, the University of Tennessee honored her for her continued support of the Athletic Department, by naming their Hydrotherapy facility, which treats all five-hundred plus University of Tennessee student athletes, "The Mary C. Hodge Hydrotherapy Room", in honor of her decades of her dedication and support.

She was of the Baptist faith, and requested that her body be donated to the University of Tennessee medical Research Center, Memphis, TN, after which she will be buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
