Mary HUGGETT Obituary
Mary passed away October 6, 2015 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Donald R. Huggett, and her son Bill, she is survived by daughter Nancy (Dan Lalande and beloved granddaughter Jessie), son John, and daughter-in- law Leigh Ann Hutchison. Mary was proud to be an honorary member of The Royal Montreal Golf Club and the Canadian Women's Senior Golf Association, as well as a long-standing member of the Jupiter Hills Golf Club in Florida. An enthusiastic traveller, she most enjoyed her time in Africa, the Galapagos, both polar circles, and her recent adventures kayaking the fjords in Norway. Her caring and grounded spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her-from treasured long-time friends and golf partners to newer acquaintances and travel companions. Her compassionate, curious, and gently discrete nature was deeply valued, and will be deeply missed, by friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Propeller Dance (www.propellerdance.com) or the Melanoma Network of Canada (www.melanomanetwork.ca). All are invited to a funeral service celebrating her life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Unitarian Church, 5035 boulevard de Maisonneuve O, Montreal, followed by a reception.

In the short time we were fortunate to know Mary, she was truly a gem. Always interested in what others were doing and especially enjoyed talking to Moose about golf and how he could improve his game! We had some great times at GRB with Mary, of which we will deeply miss.She was definitely a great person. Our hearts go out to her dear family, especially her cherished granddaughter, Jessie.
