MARY R. HUNSAKER

Born: Nov. 12, 1941; in Williamsport, Ind.

Died: Aug. 4, 2008; in Barrington



CRYSTAL LAKE - Mary R. Hunsaker, 66, of Crystal Lake, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Williamsport, Ind., to Lawrence W. and Callie Marie (Whitlock) Gaskill.

She married Kenneth C. Hunsaker on June 6, 1964, in Highland, Ind.

She retired from McHenry County College where she taught accounting. Before that, she taught business and accounting at Lake Zurich High School. She was an accomplished tax preparer, making herself available to seniors and shut-ins. She loved camping and was an avid square and round dancer.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Hunsaker; two sons, Kevin C. (Dawn) Hunsaker of Johnson City, Tenn., and Matthew L. Hunsaker of Rockford; a daughter-in-law, Kristin Hunsaker of Williams Bay, Wis.; a sister, Anna (Dennis Wright) Brown of Portage, Ind.; and David (Anna Lou) Gaskill of Monon, Ind.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence W. Gaskill Jr.

The visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Crystal Lake Christian Church, 8015 Ridgefield Road, Crystal Lake.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the church. The Rev. John Boberg will officiate.

Burial and graveside service at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Crystal Lake Christian Church, or the Mary R. Hunsaker Memorial Accounting Scholarship in care of McHenry County College.
