Johnson, Mary A.
LAS VEGAS - Mary A. Johnson, age 75, passed away on Jan. 15, 2021, at home after a short illness.
Mary was born on Oct. 14, 1945, to parents Bertha and William Alderman. She graduated from Madison Central High School in 1963. On July 1, 1966, she started working for the University Health Services, UW-Madison, Wis., as a medical receptionist. On March 7, 1981, Mary married Gerald "Jerry" Johnson. After 46 years she retired on April 30, 2012, and she and Jerry moved to sunny Las Vegas.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry, of 39 years; one son, Scott (Tonia) Ready of Sun Prairie, Wis.; two stepchildren, Kelly Johnson of Naperville, Ill., and Eric Johnson of Dodgeville, Wis.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Sharon (Dick) Nachreiner of Venice, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents and two great-grandchildren.
Mary was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Madison, Wis., and now is a member of Our Lady of Las Vegas. A family celebration of life will be held in Madison, Wis., when it is safe for everyone.
Mary made a lot of friends along life's journey. Everyone will remember Mary's laugh. We will all miss her.

Mary was the nicest lady here in las vegas.she walked all over here and made alot of really nice. Friends. She will be truly missed

So sad to hear of Mary's passing. She was a joy to work with over many years. She was such an excellent receptionist in the Dermatology clinic at Student Health. I can still hear her wonderful laughter. My condolences to Jerry and the family.
