Mary Ellen Lambert Kennelly,94, of Ormond Beach Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 5, 2016.
Mary was born in Staunton, Virginia, to Charles Cecil Lambert and Grace Gregory Lambert on October 1, 1922. She was married in 1943 to MSgt Edward J. Kennelly Sr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mary began her career with Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company and retired from AT&T in July of 1998. She was a talented seamstress, an avid reader and a faithful Steelers fan. Mary was a member of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church of Orlando, Florida, and a member of the Eastern Star. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Kennelly, Sr.; her sons Robert V. Kennelly and Dale K. Kennelly; her daughter, Karen B. Kennelly; her brothers, John B. Lambert, Charles R. Lambert and William G. Lambert; and her sister, Kathryn L. Collins.She is survived by her daughter and son-in -law, Irene K. and William J. Feather of Ormond Beach, Florida; her son, Edward J. Kennelly Jr. of Orlando, Florida, 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and her sister, Sherry L. Simantel of Staunton, Virginia.The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Smith and the staff of Vitas Hospice Care of Daytona, Beach, Florida for the excellent care and kindnesses provided during Mary's illness. Services will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery and burial will be with her husband, Edward J. Kennelly, Sr. Arrangements under the direction of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, FL.

Dear Aunt Mary - you will always be missed. Now, as of November 28th, 2016, Aunt Sherry joined you and also passed peacefully in her home. Now you both are joined with my Mother, Kitty L. Collins, who passed on May 1, 2014. Now all the brothers and sisters are together.
