Mary Elizabeth "Bette" Kent

I met Bette many years ago through our mutual membership in the Animal Rights Coalition. She was a tireless champion for animals and quite the spitfire. Her energy and enthusiasm for the cause were inspiring. She will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Bette (and Fred) was a regular of mine at Starbucks. I was lucky enough to get to see her almost daily and she quickly gained a spot in my heart. Everyday she'd ask me how my family was and even gave my daughter a christmas present. She was likr a Grandma to me! She will be forever missed and never forgotten!

Bette was one of the finest human beings on earth. Her beautiful soul will be missed, but not forgotten, and I feel truly honored to have known her. Condolences to the family; Bless you, Bette!

Bette was a dear friend and long-time fellow EarthSave member, animal lover, environmentalist and pesticide activist.

I have such fond memories of Bette, from our work together to ban the pesticide chlordane in MN and writing numerous letters to the editor to sharing many delicious vegan potlucks at EarthSave. She was a wonderful spirit and will be dearly missed.

In fond remembrance of Betty as a lifelong champion of animal rights and the environment- long before they were recognized by others to be worthy causes. Our sympathies to the family. Please know she was a valued and important member of a compassionate community.
