RIP Miss Lang. I had you for 2nd grade. You saw my sensitivity and energy as a strength. You put me on stage where I shined. You treated all of us as individuals. I am so blessed to have you as a memory of an amazing teacher. I also remember how you used to write us letters from Santa. Thank you for being you. Love sent to your family, friends and other students.

To the Lang Family,
In her over 40 years of teaching second grade, Mary Lou impacted the lives of close to 1,000 students in the Mars Area School District, helping them to grow in their reading and math skills. Students not in her class benefitted as well through the many little things she did to make school fun by organizing kickball games at recess and handcrafting her famous bread-bag jump ropes which were always in use at recess time. At Christmas, she organized the school Christmas store so that students could shop for their families. She and her mother even took the time to handcraft many of the items for sale at the store. Mary Lou was a big help to me personally, generously sharing her ideas and materials, when I was a new teacher. She was a woman of great energy and strength. Sincerest condolences to the Lang family.

Sorry to hear of Mary Lou's passing. She was a good friend of my mom's, and I know they shared lots of fun in their card club. Mary Lou was a sweet lady.

Even though I wasn't in Miss Langs second grade class at Middlesex, she always remembered me. My condolences to the family.

Butch and Jimmy, sorry to hear about your aunts passing. I can still remember her from elementary school at Middlesex. Spent a few times in her office then.
