Mary Pauline "Polly" Laughter Jones

Jonathan Creek Community, Mary Pauline Jones, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family after an extended illness.
A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Dixie and Bertie Blackwell Laughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Willis, who died in 2002; sister, Frances Pruitt; and a brother, Wes Jones (Maryann).
Polly retired after 30 years from Springs Industries. She was a devout Baptist, loved spending time with family and was affectionately known by her loved ones as "Nanny". Polly loved the springtime, being outside and caring for her birds. She enjoyed reading her bible, solving daily jigsaws and crossword puzzles.
Polly is survived by two daughters, Sharon Cagle (Doug), of Waynesville and Nona McCall (Stanley); son, Kenneth Cagle (Debbie); brother, Jerry Jones (Nancy), all of Hendersonville; six grandchildren, Brian Jackson was a special grandson; 12 great-grandchildren; and three fur babies, Gizmo, Neo and Josie.
A private burial will be held at a later date.

The care of Mrs. Jones has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
