I never had the opportunity to meet Mary, but I do know what a wonderful Mother she must have been. My son Tom, and his wife, France, have been friends for many years with Mary's son, Dave and his wife, Kim. What wonderful young people they are! Mary must be very proud of them and their siblings and how they turned out so successful, kind and loving. My love goes out to the whole Marren family and my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time! Love, MaMa J, Tom and France

My mother, Veronica Marren Hale, seemed to believe that both Mary and Joe would be named as saints. I'm sure she was right about Mary, I'm less sure about Joe, but Mom will probably end up being right about both of them. Jesus said that we should judge a tree by its fruit, and Mary's tree has lots of wonderful fruit on it. I look forward to seeing her again, in heaven. I'm sorry I can't be there for her service.

I only know of Mary through one of her children, Marty.
He is a very special person and can only have become so through his parents.
I am so sorry for everyone's loss and I will continue to have everyone of the family in my prayers

Dear Joe and family,
I feel so lucky to have know Mary, even in the small way I did. I send you all my condolences and wishes that you feel the love of God in your loss, even as you did through Mary in her life.

Mary's gentle presence and soft, kind voice were great gifts to our Oblate group. Mary will be remembered by us with affection and respect.
