Mary Pat Martus aged 61, passed away in her Detroit home on November 14, 2024. Mary Pat was born April 14,1963 in Roseville, Michigan and was the youngest of 8 children. Mary Pat was raised in a loving Christian home and her beautiful smile and loving spirit was the pride of her parents, Mary M Martus and Paul A Martus. Mary Pat attended Brablec High school in Roseville, and had a small army of friends at school and in the surrounding neighborhood. Her smile and beauty would light up a room.

Mary Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Paul A Martus and Mary M (Quinn) Martus, and brother, Joseph A Martus. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Hardcastle, and son Alex Martus, as well as step daughters, Rebecca and Meagan. Mary Pat's surviving siblings are brothers, David P Martus, Daniel J Martus, Darien L Martus, Peter I Martus, and sisters, Mary Theresa (Diehl) Martus, and Mary Cecilia Martus.

The burial memorial service for Mary Pat will be April 14 at 11am and will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Roseville, MI. This will be a brief service and weather conditions may call for flexibility. There will be a Memorial gathering at St Pio Parish (13 Mile Rd and Kelly) in their gathering Hall from 12pm to 4pm. Donations to The Salvation Army would be much appreciated.

I danced with Mary Pat at our niece´s beautiful barn wedding in 2022. I didn´t know this would be our last time together but now I´m sure it was exactly the best. I love you, MP

It was a beautiful, sun filled blue sky Easter Sunday morning when we learned that our baby sister took her first breath in this world. We were all filled with joy, and so proud of our new baby sister, Mary Pat Martus
