Mary Louise McKENZIE

McKENZIE, Sister Mary Louise
(formerly Sister St. Wilfrid)
Entered Eternal Life on Thursday January 5, 2017 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Toronto in 1937, the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Katherine (Steinbuckl) McKenzie. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham, Ontario in 1958. For more than 40 years she was a Professor of English at Brescia University College. From 1993 to 2001 she was also a member of General Leadership of the Ursuline Community. During her time in London she worked with new Canadians and the community at Limberlost, London. She was a dear friend of Louise and Barry Elliott and their family. She retired to Villa Angela after a brilliant and stellar teaching career at Brescia in the spring of 2010. Friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, 20 Merici Way, Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiva at Villa Angela, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sister Mary Lou may be made by cheque to "Brescia University College", "Chatham Ursuline Charities" or to the charity of your choice. The
