Marilyn, Marcia, and Barbara, I am so late in writing this. My brother Dennis in early 2024 notified me that Mary Lou had passed, and that she had been living in Colorado just prior. I have been in the mountains near Boulder, Colorado area since 1984.
Not being particularly tech savvy, I lost the link to this obituary.
I was just thinking this morning how Mary Lou would keep up to date on current events, so newspaper reading as well as, book reading were an all-consuming passion for her. She often discussed her latest reads with me.
As an early teen in junior high, she took me to the Detroit Museum of Art to see one of the first exhibits on King Tutankhamun, which was the thrill of a lifetime for me. It also inspired my love for art, a life long interest and appreciation.
Mary Lou was always full of energy and excitement for everything, from news to books to people. She would always bring me up to date on each member of the McLintock family, including nieces, nephews and grands. After my marriage and move to the Washington, D.C. area, when I would return to Michigan, Mary Lou was always on my list of people to visit each time. My trips "home" became less and less as my family moved to Colorado, and my children grew older, as did my visits, but never my love for her and her wonderful family. Josephine, Mary Lou, Marilyn, Marcia and Phil all had a tremendous impact on my life, and I will be forever grateful. Sending love for Mary Lou and each of you.

Aunt Mary always remembered us at birthdays and Christmas and would send money to Bill & I for the longest time. Then when Mac and Mo came along she would remember them as well.
When was very young and Mary Lou greet me she would pinch my cheek and call me "peachy". It was cute! I´ll never forget all those kindnesses.
She was the Mary Lou News Network. Always having the latest info on the various cousins, nieces and nephews. And she loved listening to the Tigers baseball games.
