Cork,

To the world she was known as Mary Ellen, but to you she was just Mary. She was such a lady and anyone could always tell when you said Mary that you had such love and respect for her. What a true partnership you two had and will have for always. She may not be here, but she will always be with you and by your side. She brought me back to the Church by witnessing to me there in that little office in back on Altama Avenue. I will be forever grateful to her for that and for her faith that she shared with me often. She taught me that 8 o'clock Church was the best for reflection and deep faith-filled quite moments....it was also good if you had an early tee time! Give away what you must, but please keep one of her golf gloves that is worn out to keep her fun spirit close to you. May God bless you and your family and keep you close to Him in this time of need. Hug yourself often and you will still be giving her a hug. May the peace of the Lord be always with you. Love to you all, Pam Watson

Mary Ellen was a treasured member of the Mixon family. She was a warm and caring daughter-n-law to my grandparents and a true sister to Alice and Beth. She was always interested in the lives of her nieces and nephews and had a way of making each of us feel as though we were special. For all who were fortunate enough to know her, she was an example of grace, kindness and simple elegance. She will truly be missed.

Our hearts are broken for you all. She was an amazing lady who we loved very much and will ALWAYS treasure our time with her. Though we can't be there Saturday, know that we are there in spirit and sending our love. God picked a good one today.
