Mary MRAZ Obituary
On Friday, March 14, 2014, Mary Mraz of Edmonton passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 94 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Isabella (Douglas) Nelson; daughter-in-law, Donna Mraz; three grandchildren, Krista (Vitor) Marciano, Pamela (Richard) Walters and Robyn (Trevor) Silvey; five great grandchildren; one sister, Terry Orom and sisters-in-law, Linda (Russ) Gardner and Pat Takacs; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Julius, in 1991; son, Julius; parents, Alex and Terez Takacs; brother, Alexander and sister, Elizabeth.
The family wishes to thank all who have expressed care and support in Mom's declining years.
A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Connelly- McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. Emeric (Hungarian) Catholic Church, 12960 - 112 Street, Edmonton.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton AB T6G 1Z2.

I was sad to hear of Mary's passing. I lived across the back alley from her for many years before I moved to Saskatoon. Mary was am amazing woman. She was a hard worker, always in the kitchen preparing food for her church, or in her garden, and even out with the snowblower on the coldest winter day...well into her eighties. When she came for a visit, she always had a little bit of her garden, or her kitchen to share. I will never forget those twinkly blue eyes. I am so sorry for your loss. There are not many women of Mary's strength and determination around these days.
