Man ... I cannot believe Mary is no longer with us. This pic of us was taken 02/11/2012 at my post-surgery party following my 4th open heart surgery, 11/11/2011. I met her in the Northwestern pacemaker clinic. After she switched jobs, we made a point to meet up every time I was in Chicago for my checkups. I hadn't yet told her that I'll be in Chicago 07/01/2022 for my pacemaker to be replaced.

Rest in peace Mary. My condolences to Mary's family. It was my pleasure to have Mary as a student at Benedictine in the masters nursing program. In the three classes I shared with Mary I found her to be a kind and compassionate nurse. She had a keen desire to learn and use what she learned in her practice. I will keep her family and friends in my prayers.

Benedictine University and the Department of Nursing and Health extend heartfelt sympathy to Mary's family. I had the pleasure of working with Mary in her first course in the MSN program and her desire to learn and advance her nursing practice was only surpassed by the care and concern she expressed for the patients she served and the interprofessional team she worked with. All of us here at BenU will keep Mary and the family in our prayers.

Mary, I will miss seeing your beautiful face everyday on FB or instagram. Even though we worked together for many years, I feel that over the past few years I’ve become closer with you. I love how you call your boys “VIPs”, I’m sure they will always know how much you loved them and how proud of them you were. I also got to know your beautiful sister Maria through HCHshe is such an amazing kind person. May God give your family strength and you RIP. Love, Karen Strocchia

I am missing our daily 5:30p calls when I'm driving home from work, your video messages w/ your infectious smile and captivating eyes; our good night talks!! Even you yelling at me for not taking my blood pressure. You have brought so much light and energy into people's lives. I will forever cherish the time you gave me, our outings. Especially seeing you laugh @ the Anjelah Johnson show 2 weeks ago. Your energy and love will be forever in my heart. I love you, Mary

Mary, you were such a strong fierce protector of your family, and friends, now you are our Angel who will always watch over. Your boys are amazing humans because of you, and the network of family and friends you cultivated will always be here for your boys. Love you so much.
The memories of us as kids, sleepovers, playing in the water hydrants, Easter egg hunt, countless memories growing up together, becoming parents and our kids playing together are priceless.
You impact everyone differently, you may have never known how much having you in my life impacted me, you were so strong, honest, and a beautiful soul, and although we didn't talk everyday it was always as if time hadn't passed. We would just pick up where we had left off.
I am going to miss you so much, love you, you are in my heart and my prayers. Rest in peace♥
