Mary Neilan Obituary
Mary Neilan, 78, died on Friday, July 29, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, IN. She was born on January 23, 1938 to the late Thomas R. and Mildred (Case) McClain in Danville, Illinois.
Mary worked as an administrative secretary at Purdue in the Mechanical Engineering department for 27 years before retiring in 2003. She also worked in CO-OP program at Purdue. Mary was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. In her past, Mary was a pianist, organist, and past choir director at Brown St. United Methodist Church. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed gardening, spending time with grandchildren, and playing the piano.
Surviving Mary is her son, Dennis P. Neilan and daughter, Kathleen M. Bolduc, both of Lafayette, IN. Mary is also survived by five grandchildren: Ryan Neilan, Andrew Neilan, Taya Bolduc, Connor Bolduc, and Mason Bolduc, as well as two great grandchildren: Clara Parker Berna and James Ryan Neilan.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by two sons, Edward Lee Neilan and Russell Eugene Neilan and a sister, Janice Adkins.
Service will take place on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 7PM at Hippensteel Funeral Home with an hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Larry Johnson officiating.
