Mary Nell Strachn Alexander Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 15, 2024.
Mary Nell Strachn Alexander, born on September 3, 1938, in Bogota, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, in Fontana, Wisconsin. She was 86 years old.

Nell spent her early years in Bogota before moving to the Chicago area, where she was raised and started her own family. Later in life, she settled in Fontana, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed being a big part of her grandsons lives.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tracy (Frank) Santagata; grandsons Nick and Joe; her sister Sue Boswell; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Nell was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Alexander; her daughter Sandy Davis; her parents Charlie and Gertie Strachn; her brother Billy Strachn; and her sister Bobbye Harris.

Nell had a lifelong love of music and found great joy in the melodies of Vince Gill and Keith Urban. After retiring, she discovered a passion for drawing and watercolor painting. She delighted in creating handmade cards and pictures that she shared with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and thoughtfulness.

Her memory will live on through the lives she touched with her kindness, artistry, and love of music. May those who knew her find comfort in the beautiful memories they shared with her.

Although you were Sandy`s mom, back in the day, you were the coolest mom. I´ll never forget the hysterical Bee Gees concert we all went to. I´m so glad we got to connect these last few years. I will treasure the artwork that you´ve sent me, and I promise to keep Sandy`s memory alive. Thank you for all the wisdom and the giggles.
