Mary Nesbitt Obituary
(Resident of Peterborough Manor)
At Peterborough Regional Health on Monday, December 7, 2015 in her 92nd year. Sister of Alvin Nesbitt of Trenton and the late William, Russell, Phyllis Andrade and Marjorie Nesbitt. Aunt of Cindy, David, Bill, Elizabeth, Rodney, Susan and the late Terry. Will be remembered by many great nieces and nephews, friends Evelyn and George Turner and Larissa Turner and Shawn Guyatt and special friends at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and the Nursing Community. Mary was a retired teacher from Sir Sanford Fleming College Nursing Program, Elder at St Paul's Presbyterian Church, Sunday School Teacher and Presbytery Elder.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street with Reverend George Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Little Lake Cemetery. In memory of Mary, donations to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.

I had the honour of knowing Miss Nesbitt through Civic Hospital and then at Fleming College in Peterborough, she was a kind and considerate lady who I had the utmost respect for. Each and every time I think of her it is with a smile. Miss Nesbitt, your memory will live on in many hearts.

Mary was one of my favourite Nursing Instructors at SSFC in 1982-85. We would always comment on her nursing skills, knowledge and compassion and how she never seemed to age. She dedicated her life to nursing and touched the lives of so many nursing students, nurses and patients.

Miss Nesbitt, as we called her, was a much loved and respected instructor of our nursing class. PCH 1958. She was very professional and set a wonderful example to her students. She was truly one of a kind!

I knew Mary for many many years and had the privilege of working along side her at St Paul's Presbyterian Church W.M.S. I was saddened to hear of her passing but I am thankful for the fond memories I have of such a wonderful woman and the many years of friendship. My condolences to her Family.
