Mary Neuling Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 28, 2025.
Mary Kathryn Neuling (Madushaw), 79, whose name means "beloved" was born on December 21,1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Raymond and Florence Madushaw. She entered the arms of our Heavenly Father on August 14, 2025 in Aurora, IL with her family by her side. Mary is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Raymond, Florence, and Ruth; her first husband, Frank Neuling (m. 1966); her second husband, Bill Eckhardt (m. 1991) and many other beloved family members, friends and pets who went before her.

Mary is proudly and lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Diana Neuling; son Nathan Neuling (Julie Wiles), his sons Nathan and Joey; daughter Leia Neuling; son Nick Neuling (Fawn), sons William and Nicholas.

Mary was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Chicago, IL mid-high school. She attended Immaculata High School (Class of 1964) where she formed numerous lifelong friendships. Mary pursued numerous professions with dedication and resilience. In her younger years she worked for the IRS, Motorola and was a secretary for the Streamwood Police Chief. In the 80s, Mary began a career in real estate and started her own income tax preparation service operating out of her home. In 1998, Mary moved to Phoenix, AZ with her second husband Bill and four children. In Phoenix, she became a Polygraph Examiner, an Interfaith/Interspiritual Ordained Minister in 2013, ran a hot dog cart with family and friends and notably ended her career as a small business owner specializing in accounting/income tax preparation services for the dedicated and large client base she served both in Illinois, Arizona and beyond. Mary also saw a need in Phoenix, AZ and poured her passion for animals into creating Phoenix Pet Food Pantry, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping owners feed their beloved pets. She volunteered for numerous pet rescues and pet ministries. In 2023, Mary moved back to Illinois to enjoy her time with family and lifelong friends.

Mary was a proud mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, business owner, pet lover, volunteer, friend and confidant to all in her life. Her legacy is one of kindness, generosity, selflessness, adventurous, always helping others and all creatures. The world is much quieter and empty without her and her loss is deeply felt by her family and all who knew and loved her.
