Sam and Jennifer,

I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom. Even though I never met her, I always felt like I did know her through your words of kindness and praise for her. I truly understand your loss and your pain. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sophia and Sammy,
I Just want to extend my deepest sympathies on the death of your Mother, Mary. I spent a lot of time at your house as a child, in Cumberland, and I DO understand about the baking and cooking that smelled so good. In fact, the last time I saw Mary at her home, she was making apple stack cakes. I think it was around the Christmas holidays. I would call Mary whenever I had to stay in Lexington for any amount of time, and she was a good listener, and she never forgot my birthday. Even though I have not seen her in a long time, I will miss just knowing she is no longer there, so please accept my condolences, and may God bless your entire family.

We've known Mary all our lives and will miss her. She always told stories about the good 'ole days back in Lynch/Cumberland and even still was doing that when I last talked to her a couple of weeks ago...the world's lost a kind and gentle lady.....the memory of Mary will always be in our hearts.

Love and peace to her family from
