Mary M. Perry "Mama Maria"

Last Feb. 2019 my wife and I visited Last Vegas for the first time, a break from Minnesota winter. Looking for a place to eat, we came upon Bootleggers Bistro. Wow, what a night and meal. The best Italian meal I have ever had. On our second to Bootleggers, visit while in Vegas, I got to meet MOMMA MARIA. She came out for jazz concert, Feb. 24, 2019. Momma was so gracious to take a photo with me. I felt like I was in the presence of a very special Angel. Imagine our surprise as we are in back in Vegas this month of January 2020, only to find this beautiful lady has left this world for heaven. I'm so glad I met her.

I HAVE EATEN IN HER RESTAURANT IN LAS VEGAS SO MANY TIMES EVERYBODY KNEW HER MEATBALLS WERE THE BEST EVER .HER GRANDSON RON AND I HAD BECOME FRIENDS OVER THE YEARS AND I MENTIONED THAT I WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOUR GRANDMOTHER AND RON MADE THAT POSSIBLE WHAT AN AMAZING COUPLE OF HOURS I SPENT IN HER HOME LISTENING TO HER STORIES I COULD HAVE SAT THERE FOR WEEKS JUST TAKING IT ALL IN . MARY WAS NOT ONLY ENTERTAINING BUT BEAUTIFUL ELEGANT AND SUCH A GRACIOUS WOMAN .I WISH I COULD HAVE SPENT MORE TIME WITH HER..GOD BLESS HER ON HER NEXT JOURNEY TO LORRAINE HUNT-BONO AND FAMILY MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY

Remembering Mama Maria

We are sharing your sorrow about the passing of Mary. We had learned from Olga about her extraordinary life and accomplishments from her early childhood on as a true pioneer and participating founder of modern Las Vegas.

Olga was very found of Mary. We had met Mary and talked to her on several occasions at the Ruvo"s residence. She was a beautiful and very poised woman. We will miss her and think of her!

Our thoughts are also with you at the time of celebrating and remembering her life and saying the final goodbye!

We were so saddened at the news of Mary's passing. She was a good friend to my parents and will be remembered with fondness for her kindness and generosity. Our sincerest sympathies to Lorraine and her family at this sad time, but take heart in knowing the old gang from Canada are all together again in eternity at last.

I also remember working for you in that tiny office on eastern many years ago. Michael passed away 2 years ago but he will now hold your hand and smile down on all of us. I love you both. God bless.
