Mary Evelyn PILGER

Passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, April 13, 2023, in her 99th year. Mary Pilger (nee Ballam) of Cooper Falls, beloved wife of the late Ross Pilger (2013). Loved mother of John Pilger of Minden, Gary Pilger - predeceased (Bernice) of Brechin, Doreen "Dean" (Ted Lamb) of Orillia, Joyce - predeceased (Dave Beers) of Orillia and Frank Pilger (Laurie) of Coopers Falls. Cherished grandmother of Lisa, Robin, Gus (Jerdelle), Scott (Karen), Chris - predeceased, Shane (Lisa), Jason (Amanda), Mark (Tanya), Tammy, Willow, Dennis (Keziah), Derek (Joy), Devan - predeceased, Dustyn, and Dylan. Great Gramma to 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Edna Crawford - predeceased. Loving daughter of the late John and Fanny Ballam. Mary will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia on Thursday April 20, 2023, from 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday April 21st, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Barkway Cemetery followed by a reception at the Ramona Hall, 2212 Fairgrounds Road in Washago. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Diabetes Canada.
