Mary Ann Santistevan passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 92, following a long battle with dementia.

Born on April 15, 1933, in Colorado, Mary Ann lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family and a profound appreciation for the natural world. Her love for animals and plants was evident to all who knew her and remains a cherished part of her legacy.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam J; her daughter, Laura Lee; her granddaughter, Michelle; her parents; and her sisters.

She is survived by her children: Kathy (Mike) Clark, Sam (Lydia) Santistevan, and Maria (Eric) Sherer. She also leaves behind her sister Anna Gates, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward the warmth and strength she instilled in them.

Mary Ann's enduring love for her family, along with her nurturing spirit toward animals and plants, continues to live on through those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
