Mrs. Seipel was my teacher at westgate many years ago. I was with my daughter doing a project and thought of her and westgate, so I looked her up. She was an amazing teacher who I have told my children about. My prayers to her family. She will be sadly missed.

As I am watching the OSU game tonight I ran to grab the scarlet and gray afghan Mary made for my wedding gift. She was my roommate her Freshman year and a bridesmaid in my wedding. We lost contact for many years and just decided to look her up and am so sorry to hear. She holds a very dear place in my heart and was a wonderful friend.

Mrs. Seipel was my 5th grade teacher at Westgate. Even after junior high, high school and college she always remained my favorite. Her caring attitude, giving heart and beautiful smile left a lasting impression on me all of these years. I only hope my son is lucky enough to have a teacher like her one day. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. God has certainly called home an angel.

One would be hard pressed to find a better teacher and person than Mary. I had the privilege of working with Mary when I was the principal at Binns ES. She was a true master teacher. I was saddened to hear Mary took a turn for the worse. She was such an inspiration to me. I will treasure our dinners at carrabbas, and feel so fortunate she asked me to meet her a few months ago to hand deliver her 'ABC's of Cancer' book. I'm honored to have received a copy, and even more honored to call Mary my friend....very proud of her for completing something so near and dear to her. She was a special lady who my sister and i adored. Prayers and hugs to Kelly, the boys and family.
