I'm probably the person who has known Mary for the shortest amount of time. Yet when she welcomed me each Sunday, (when I started attending Beach Fellowship) along with her husband Jim last year (I sat across the isle next to them) her sincere and kind manner was clearly evident. Both Mary and Jim have always been so cordial and welcoming. Their absence at church over the past several weeks made me sad. Their empty seats were clearly a sign that something was wrong. Her close/devoted friend Betsy Moore kept us abreast of her progress and set backs. So many of us prayed for her peace and wellness. That empty seat is one that can never be filled quite like Mary with her special qualities. I look forward to seeing Jim at church soon with sweet pride in his eyes knowing that his lovely bride is with Jesus until they meet again.

I loved Mary's smile and am glad that I along with others got to know her. Jesus has her in his arms right now. :)

Yvonne and I first met Mary and Jim Smith when we joined BF many years ago. They where always at each Sunday's Beach Cafe for a bit to eat and talk. We loved attending Jim's Bible Study classes. Mary, you will be missed. Jim, Hang in there. Love and hugs from Tony & Yvonne Marrero.
