I had the privilage of working with Heather at Animal Medical Hospital. I rememeber the day she came to work after school and told me she had gotten a job at a law firm. It made me sad because we had become good friends and talked about EVERYTHING! She was truly an AWESOME person, and I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I remember Heather as a stunningly beautiful, funny, and friendly young lady. Uncle Jay, Mr. and Mrs. Henley, and all my Mississippi family and Heather's family, please know that there are people in Tennessee who are crying with you and praying for you.

I knew heather i guess u can say alright only hung out with her a handfull of times and every time i was around her i had a blast..she was a very outgoing person and ill never forget the last time i saw her she was in my dreamcar...a white honda s2000 she asked me if i wanted a ride bc i was drooling.. She took me from lakeland to county line rd and we hit a top speed of 165 mph...notice heather wasnt afaid to push that car to its limit...she will be missed but my theory on death is that u spend the rest of eternity with the lord...what is better than that?? We will all see her again soon...

Heather was a very good and fond friend of mine through out child hood. when I found out the news; I was totally devastated. I will always remember the good times we shared as a child and to teen-age years. My heart goes out to you all: Mr. Dan, Mrs. Linda, Xan, and grandparents that I have gotten to meet over the years. I worked with Heather at the Wilson Law Firm and I became very fond of Heather. She became a very good friend to me, she was easy to love. I was never around Heather a single time that I did not enjoy myself. She could always make people smile. She was so full of life and always there if you needed her. I do not know you or your family, but I cannot help but weep at this horrible tragedy. I lost my 20 year old son, a Junior at Ole Miss this summer in a horrible car accident. This is something none of of will get over. Just tell Heather to tell Key she will be with him.

I remember Heather Spencer as a beautiful girl who walked gracefully on the homecoming court and played with alot of heart on the basketball court several years ago at Northwest Rankin High School. I graduated with her ten years ago in May 1997. I am comforted by the fact that God said "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5) God bless the entire family of Heather Spencer.

I met Heather through Brian Callahan and during our fun Jackson Bandits days. I knew back then she was a special person. What an aura she had, our deepest sympathy to Linda and the rest of her family. May God give you strength through this difficult time.

I was very upset when I heard the news of Heather. I babysat Heather & Xan in Indianola. Both families are in my thoughts and prayers. We all have been so blessed to have known Heather.

I am Justin Spencer's supervisor. While I did not know Heather, I have seen her legacy in Justin. I had the opportunity to hear about Heather's impact on Justin's life and about her joyful, compassionate and forgiving character. Justin told me about her deep, abiding faith in our great and loving God. He spoke of her wisdom that continues to help guide his life. I am honored that I was able to receive a glimpse of someone so special.

I am Heather's Mom, Linda. I'm unable to express the gratitude I feel for all the kind words said about Heather, not only here but on the phone, at visitation, at the funeral and every day. Now I know I'm not the only one that saw the precious person behind that beautiful smile. A light has gone out of my life that can never be replaced. My heart is broken in half. I loved her so much. Heather was my best friend, my light, my inspiration, my sounding board, my beautiful child who grew up with me. Her love for family, friends, life, love, pets,church and faith will never be forgotten. Her favorite symbol was the Tree of Life. Her home was decorated with photos, paintings and all things trees. In looking through some of her papers, I found the most beautiful letter she had recently written to God and it has been a source of pride and comfort for me. It's too personal to share but I did want to share another entry of hers in a notebook, it almost seems prophetic, but it also shows her inner beauty. I don't know if it's original or not but I do know it is Heather. Thank you again for your kind words and I hope you too will gain insight into the person she was if you didn't know her or know her well. From Heather's notebook....
"I wish for you comfort on difficult days and smiles when sadness intrudes. Rainbows to follow the clouds; laughter to kiss your lips; sunsets to warm your heart; gentle hugs when spirits sag; friendships to brighten your being; beauty for your eyes to see; confidence for when you doubt; faith so that you can believe; courage to know yourself; patience to accept the truth and love to complete your life." That was Heather, my daughter, my heart, my life; there will forever be a void that can not be filled, and I will miss her until the day I too can join her in that beautiful place in Heaven and see her smiling face.

Henleys and Spencers, You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine how horrible this must be for you, especially the Henleys to have lost a daughter and a granddaughter. My heart goes out to you all. Heather and my Laura are the same age. I remember them playing together occasionally when we would visit Indianola when they were young. Laura remembers that and being at camp with her. She also sends her love. I wish I had a magic wand to take the pain away; however, we all know that I don't, so I can only pray that with the passisng of time, your wonderful memories with overtake the sorrow you now feel and that you will be able to laugh and enjoy those memories and that your tears of sorrow will be replaced with tears of joy.

I did not know Heather, but got to know Xan while he was in Murfreesboro. I know what a special person she was and sweet heart she had just by hearing her brother talk about her. My prayers are with Heather's family during this time. I know they will find peace through God's grace.

I met Heather in the 9th grade.We played basketball at M.R.A and both lived in Hanover.She became a good friend.She put off this amazing light full of kindness.We started car pooling,the ride to school was always funny.I lost touch with her about a year ago.I wished now i hadn't Her pain & sorrow are gone now.She will never have to go through it again.To Dan,Linda,and xan,i love you and will pray for your family.I am here if you need anything.I know it's been awhile,but I am here,just like Heather would be here for me.God give you strength during you time of grief.Love you Heather!
