Mary Tedrow Obituary

Mary C. Tedrow, 96, of Nova, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. She was born on April 26, 1917, in Chatham Township, daughter of the late George and Dica (Eshelman) Fuller. She married Albert "Bunk" Tedrow on July 12, 1935 and assisted him on the farm and took great pride in helping to raise her three grandchildren. Mary was a longtime member of the Nova United Methodist Church and Research Club. She was a member of the former Nova Garden Club and W.I.N.K.S Club. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and spending time with family and friends. Survived by her loving daughter, Joan Pittenger of Ashland; grandchildren, Philip Collins of Morristown, SD, Joe (Cheryl) Collins of Wooster and Carol (Jeff) Berry of Ashland; step grandchildren, Larry (Lori) Pittenger of Williams, AZ, Jane (John) Hibbs of Ashland and Jim Pittenger of Ashland; great grandchildren, Beau (Jaclyn) Weidinger and Chelsea Weidinger; step great grandchildren, Lisa (Jamie) Mace, Chad (Shannon) Pittenger, Nicole Pittenger Kilgore, Tim (Amanda) Pittenger, Dan Pittenger, Matthew Hibbs and Kimberly (Josh) Ross and 11 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Bunk" Tedrow; brother, Clyde Fuller; sisters, Mabelle Pixley, Hattie Coe, Mildred Romine and son-in-law, Raymond Pittenger. Visitation will be Monday, September 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Nova United Methodist Church, 257 St Route 511, Nova, Ohio 44859. Burial will follow at Nova Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Nova United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805. A special thanks to the Fred Longsdorf family for the kindness and care they gave to Mary and Hospice of North Central Ohio.
