We were sitting with my motherinlaw Joyce Clarke Johnson Sheppard last night and her friend Mary came up in our conversation. I went searching and discovered the news of her death. Sending all of you our sympathies and prayers as you grieve. Mary and Joyce had some good times in Montreal years ago. And when we also figured out Back then that Mary and I were related through the O'Connell side it proved that it truly is a small world. (My nanny Elizabeth and her father I believe are brother and sister if I remember the connection right). Prayers of appreciation for a life well lived and for your peace and comfort as you mourn.

R.I.P now MOM.
You were the glue that held our family together. Although there is a tear in my eye right now, there is also a smile on my face knowing that you really did have a wonderful life and are now in a better place. It was hard to see you not being able to get around the last 5 or so years, as this is not who you were but still you never once complained. You were always on the go, travelling the world, working at the Legion, picking up those gags gifts for your bowling league, knocking down walls while dad was at work. Always smiling and singing. I will never forget you racing the train beside the track to try and beat it in Vermont, or having a packed downtown bar (Hunters Horn), including the band, on St. Patrick's day, yelling "Mickey, Mickey". Your infectious laugh would always make others smile. Being the strong, devoted Irish Catholic woman you are, I am sure you are up in heaven and have already talked with St. Anthony. Now together with dad, Uncle Gerald, Granny and Marguerite, trying to organize the next St. Patrick's day party. I take solace in the fact that you won't be bound by a wheel chair anymore but rather flying around with your new wings, you truly are an angel. If you haven't received them yet, then I am sure you're sewing a pair out of some old curtains until they arrive. Heaven just became a better place and I am a better person for having you as my mom.
One more time mom. Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? Mary was tough and answered rough " Who the hell wants to know"..... Say hi, to everybody in heaven for us. You are gone but will never be forgotten as part of you lives in all of us.... Give yourself a big hug from all of us....Miss you already. love you mom.
