Mary VINCENT Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 19 to Feb. 24, 2017.
VINCENT (Wilmot), Mary I.
1952 - 2017

Mary Ianthe (Wilmot) Vincent passed with serenity and grace into the arms of Jesus on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2017. Mary touched the hearts of all who knew her, resisting the effects of a brain tumor while continuing to serve the Lord, her family and the church.

Mary was born February 6, 1952 to William and Mary Wilmot of Austin, Texas, attended McCallum High School and graduated from the Brackenridge Hospital School of Nursing. She served as RN for 43 years in many capacities including public health nurse and Manager of the Blue Bird Circle for Pediatric Neurology at Texas Children's Hospital. Mary was the mother of three children by her first husband Robert F. Wright, Jr. of Austin before marriage to Britton T. Vincent, III of Bryan in 1990. Mary is survived by her siblings Billy and Bobby Wilmot and Jennie McCown; sons Zachary Wright and Travis and wife Christine Wright; daughter Mary and husband Jacob Hroch and step-daughter Brooke Vincent and Micah Smith; and grandchildren Levi and Bowen Hroch, Madison Wright and Merritt Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a memorial service for Mary at First Baptist Church Chappell Hill, 7675 FM 2447 in Chappell Hill on Saturday February 25 at 10:30 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or to First Baptist Church Chappell Hill.

Prayers for peace. I never got to know you as well as I should have, but I do have memories. I remember a woman who was graceful, peaceful, gentle, fair, thoughtful, pensive, reflective, kind, generous and who loved her family deeply. Fly free.

You are in my daily prayers.
