Private graveside services for Mary Wade will be held in Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview with the Rev. Wendy Zuezh officiating and arrangements by Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mary was born June 14, 1919, in Collinsville, Texas, to J. W. and Lillian Sinclair. Mary graduated from Pine Tree valedictorian in 1937. She received her degree in nursing from Parkland Hospital in Dallas and entered the Navy as a nurse on Treasure Island in San Francisco, California. She was the industrial nurse for Trailmobile. After retirement, she was coordinator for Meals on Wheels and assisted with the Salvation Army Stew Pot.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Boyd and Alfred Sinclair; son-in-law, Thomas R. Meredith; and great-grandchild, Christian Pyles. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Sue and Wyley Biggs; daughter, Janet L. Meredith; sister, Bennie L. Sinclair; sisters-in-law, Modene and Milene Sinclair; two grandchildren, Traci Fussell and her husband Neal and Stephen Hestand; five great-grandchildren, Keeli Pyles, Ayla and Logan Hestand and Addison and Elise Fussell; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff of Summer Meadows, especially the East wing nurses for their excellent care. Visitation will be Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, from 4-6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 515 North Court Street, Longview, Texas 75601 or to Woodland Christian Church, P.O.
