Mary Weeks Obituary
Mary grew up on Colony Road and graduated from Myers Park High School in 1953. Loving and kind, she lived an active life to the very end, enjoying walking, reading, swimming at the Y and spending time with friends and family. Mary was blessed with the ability to easily take up and master new hobbies and was quite adept at home repairs.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, L.D. Weeks and is survived by her sons, Don Hollifield and Michael Weeks (Julie); step-daughter, Rebecca Boisvert (Michael); several grandchildren and other relatives.
An informal celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg chapter of the Autism Society.

Mary became a dear friend when we met at the YWCA pool. I cherish the serious and numerous conversations. I will miss her very much. May you find comfort in all your happy memories.

Mrs. Weeks was our neighbor and friend for over 45 years. We walked with her each day, gave her cards and kept in touch with news about family events. We miss her dearly, but know she is a blessed one in heaven. The Kilpatricks and Fowlers.

My brother Tom and I were fortunate enough to become friends with Mary in the pool at the Ywca. Our daily talks were sometimes serious, usually cathartic and always funny. We will miss her sense of humor and the wisdom she shared during those special times. Take comfort in the fact that she was surrounded by people who truly loved her. God bless you.
