Grandma Wright was an instrumental in shaping my life even though geography separated us much of the time. She taught me many things and still does in my memories of her.

Gram and Bristol are synonymous to me. My brothers and sisters and I grew every summer in her house and we waited impatiently all year to see her. She was so patient and dear with all of us, sharing her knowledge and stories (and cooking) with us. There is an empty spot, but she loved God and she's home now.

My second grade teacher, she will always be Mrs. Wright to me and Mother of Anne my former classmate.
Of all my teachers she had the most influence on shaping my early years. A very special lady. My condolences to her family and friends.

I have known Ilene all my life and Sandra has been a part of her life for over thirty years. She was a part of our family. We saw here at church, took her to an alumni banquet, and had other occasions with her. She cooked cookies for us when my father died and was the first person at the house. Her life was always for God, family and friends. She never wavered from that insight. She raised a wonderful family and was rewarded with the same in grandchildren. Sandra and I will always have the "LADY" in our prayers. Your loss is shared by us.

Memories of our summer vacations as children creep into every summer of mine now. After the sometimes 12 hour trip to Bristol from Maryland we were as excited as kids at Chrismas just to pull in the driveway. After that moment we didn't have to go anywhere else to feel like we were the luckiest kids in the world to be on vacation at Grandma Wright's house. Exploring the barn, the dresser drawers, and the closet hidden by a curtain at the top of the stairs were more fun than Disney World to us; not to mention our adventures on the mountains and rivers just feet away.
Being with Gram in her house and knowing her that way was a blessing I will never take for granted. You are in my heart Gram and I will try to be more and more like you every day of my life.
Love, Eileen (Wright) Colucci

I've shared with my Gram the love of art and the desire to be the best teacher I can. I have told my students about her, adding in that growing up I thought I had many more cousins than I actually did because so many people called her "Gramma Wright". She was loved by many. Hopefully I will be able to make as great a difference in the lives of those I teach as she did with her students. I am glad my son was given the opportunity to know her and will cherish the memories of him in her lap, as well as, many others. I will miss her deeply, but know she has gone to a place where she will be truly happy and at peace. Love to all of our family and friends.
