Dear Myles and Billy:
I knew Maryann in 1st grade and all the way through high school. She was a best friend and although we had lost contact, we found one another again on FB to which I will be forever grateful. Maryann was a courageous and beautiful person, she will be truly missed.

MaryAnn was such a caring thoughtful person. I had the pleasure of working with her several years ago. She always had a smile on her face and a good word to say. To my suprise I found out my friend Jeanette was her aunt and was able to reconnect with her. Her inspiration to those suffering from breast cancer will continue to give hope. my condolences to the Burke family~ very saddened to hear of Mary Ann's passing... Beth, asked me to perform for Mary Ann's Breast Cancer Fundraiser.. I was honored to have done it.. in pride for such a wonderful cause. MaryAnn came over to me after I was done performing, and hugged me and Thanked me for making her day to perform... with tears in her eyes, as I held back my tears then.. but, now ok to cry... what can i say about Mary Ann that hasn't already been said ??? My earliest recollections other than my blood family is of her and i playing together as toddlers in our yard. all the wonderful times I spent with her and her family through the many years we have known each other.We have celebrated many a special occasion together, our weddings, and the birth of our children and have shared our grief together with the passing of our parents. Mary Ann passed as she lived her life...with much grace and dignity and concern for others...she was an inspiration for us all. It was an honor to be there from the beginning of our lives and and to be there to share in her passing...you were one brave woman and I will miss you greatly !!!
To Myles, Billy , Lorraine and family, Karen and David, and Auntie Jeanette...my deepest sympathy..you were the most dedicated , loving and supportive family I have ever seen. Mary Ann was blessed to have such a wonderful family as you were blessed to have such a wonderful wife, mother, sister , neice and aunt. I love you all ! May God bless you in your time of grief and truly know Mary Ann is happy and pain free and just a thought away

I met her the first year of Parents' Academy workshops in the Brockton schools, and we formed a friendship from then on. She was so involved in many programs in the schools and proud of her son Billy, a wonderful parent.
