Marylynn Skeehan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 14, 2025.
Marylynn Milton Skeehan, 72, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on March 5, 2025.

Marylynn Skeehan was born May 22, 1952 in Colorado. She grew up in the Denver metro area, and graduated from Arvada West High School in 1970.

Marylynn was known for her caring spirit, infectious laughter, and loving the Broncos regardless of their seasonal success. She worked at Mountain Bell as a phone operator after high school, exploring a career in telecommunications until the early 2000s. She then drove school buses for Cherry Creek School District; and, after a brief retirement, she began working at the City of Aurora Parks and Recreation department. Outside of work, Marylynn enjoyed musical theater, reading romance and mystery novels, bowling, trips to Mesa Verde and New Mexico, watching shows like Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, and tolerating her husband.

She is survived by her husband and partner of 46 years, Andrew Skeehan, and her children, Heather and Meg Skeehan, as well as many other beloved friends and family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Children's Hospital of Colorado in Marylynn's honor.

As Marylynn would say, "that's my story and I'm sticking to it. "

It was always a pleasure to see Marylynn at the front desk at Beck. Her laughter could light up a room. She always spoke to me and never failed to tell me to stay safe as I left the building. I shall miss her.
