Matt and I used to spend hours inside a tiny coffee shop at PSU. They had free refills and we'd sit for hours, talking about books. He introduced me to the Celestine Prophecy. He also taught me how to play backgammon there. He was always smiling and happy. I am so sorry to hear of this news.

Matt and I used to spend hours at a tiny coffee shop at PSU. It was right across from Skull fraternity house. They had free refills and we'd sit and talk for hours. He taught me how to play backgammon there. He also introduced me to the book The Celestine Prophecy. He was always smiling and happy. I'm so sorry to hear this news. What a nice guy.

Mat was a trusted adviser, a patient mentor, and a kind friend. I was a client over the past two years. He had a great sense of humor especially when we were in the trenches.

I am so terribly sad to hear this. I was friendly with Mat when we were neighbors at Naval Square. We used to see each other every morning as we were walking our dogs and we would talk about all sorts of things. We both had cancer and we were able to share those experiences. Such a nice man, kind and genuine. A Mench.

The world has lost a special person.

Sometimes nothing is clear
Maybe someday I'll understand
But I know for a start there's a place in my heart
That is yours and it won't disappear" CSNY
