Bryant Family,

I was so saddened to hear the news of the passing of your young son.

I just want you to know that he will be with you always...he will live on in spirit and you'll see that often in the things and people around you.

May the good Lord bring you peace and comfort this week and during the days ahead. I pray that your faith remains strong, you'll need to draw on it often.

I pass along this Psalm that a good friend passed on to me 3 years ago after we lost our young 4 year old daughter Christine:

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.

As the passing days turn into months and years, you will certainly grow to understand what God means when He says 'Do not be not afraid, I am with you...'

My heart is heavy today. I will keep Tryson, the family and friends in my daily prayers.

May the Peace and Grace of God be with you today and everyday.

Dear Matt & Melissa....I read of your loss on the internet and could not hold back my tears. Your baby was beautiful!! I know that this is a difficult time for you both as well as your family, I have a 2 1/2 month old grandson and to lose him would be devastating. I pray for God to hold you in his hands and see you through this very difficult time. You only got to have him for a short 3 months but I know it has still left a huge empty hole in your heart.
My heart and prayers go out to you & your family.

God Bless,
Melissa

My husband and I always say a prayer when we hear of a child passing away. We lost a newborn baby girl in 2006 due to being born premature. No matter what age, losing a child is a horrendous thing for a parent to go through and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Bryant family,

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious son. I've been in your shoes and I truly know your pain. My 17 month old son died Sept. 17th, 2007. (Garret Jayce Tucker- www.legacy.com)

I wish I could offer words of wisdom and say that your pain will go away, but I can't. The pain never goes away.

I can tell you that each day will get a little easier to survive. It is a matter of survival. The loss of a child is the greatest loss of all. The physical pain will also ease with time. You will still have moments that the physical pain in your heart will sometimes literally take your breath away, but the next breath will come.

I know that there are surviving siblings that will also still need their parents. It is very difficult for us parents to continue to be "good" parents to our surviving children because our own grief consumes us. But we must remember that these children lost their brother and sister and are also suffering and need us to help them with their grief as well.

I'm sure you have many loving friends and family that will support you on this journey. My advice would be to let them help you in any way they possibly can. They really do want to help...even if they aren't really sure how. Lean on them and each other. You will survive.

I Will Lend You A Child
Author Unknown

"I'll lend you for a little while, a child of mine," He said.
"For you to love while it lives, and give it a warm bed.

"It may be six or seven years, or eighty two or three.
But, will you 'til I call it back, take care of it for me?

"It will bring it's charms to gladden you, and it's stay will be brief.
You'll have it's lovely memories for years beyond belief.

"I cannot promise it will stay, as all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn.

"I've looked wide world over in my search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I've selected you.

"Now you will give it all your love - not think the labor vain.
Nor hate me when I come to call to take it back again.

"I fancied that I heard it say 'Dear Lord, thy will be done'
For all the joy this child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.

"We'll shower it with tenderness, and love it while we may.
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

"And should the angel call for him to go it on it's own someday,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, those times it is away.

Matt and Melissa,

My heart and love goes out to you and your family. I have never lost a child but I watched my daughter go through losing her son. She was only 37 weeks along and when she delivered Aiden he was stillborn. That was the most heart-wrenching thing to ever have to go through. So, as a parent I know the love you must have for your children and to lose one has got to be horrific. I can't imagine, I just know what it was like to watch my daughter in the pain she was in and still is in. You NEVER get over it, you just learn to deal with it.
