Dear Carolyn Bucksbaum,

I wish to express my sorrow at learning of your husband's passing, although it's been some time now. I'd met him when I designed for a company in Boulder, CO, where he was formerly an investor.

His integrity was admirable and rare a true example of 'The Greatest Generation'.

I'd made a design presentation to him in 2009, when he was reviewing the company's potential. He invested and, ultimately, in April of 2011 our work was featured in The Wall Street Journal, inspired by our presence at Aspen Fashion Week. Mr. Bucksbaum's financial support helped make this success possible.

I left that company in Nov. 2011, yet I've wanted to thank him.

Imagine what the world would be if more folks upheld his value on integrity. What a way to live one's life!

I hope it give you solace to know that Mr. Bucksbaum made a difference, even in his brief interactions. He made a difference for me.

I was fortunate to meet Matthew early in my business career, sorry for your loss.
