Matthew Carlin

I came from Alabama in the early 90's was lucky to get an opportunity to work for him and his family. I learned so much about our trade and wish I had the sense to take advantage of the immense opportunity that Matt gave me. I've been repeatedly trying to get in touch through out the years but could never reconnect. I'm so sorry and disappointed that just now I get information that I didn't want about his passing. God bless his family and everything they did for me when I was lucky to be a part of his life, even though it was only a few years.

Wow.. I have been out of circulation in the city for a long time. I thought I had heard of Matt's passing a while back, but did not want to believe it...now I know for sure.

Last time I saw Matt was back in the late 70's when the family moved up below West Portal, before Calistoga.
I knew Matt from St. Cecelia's and hanging with the Carlin family in 25th Ave., As well as many summers that they invited me up to the river.


R.I.P my old childhood friend..we had some great times growing up together.
I'll pop a wheelie for ya next time I get a chance.

Veva, Julie and Matt, Our hearts are broken on your loss of Matthew. Both Steve and I have know him forever, me from grammar school and Steve as a 25th Avenue boy. Veva, your love, grace and protectiveness of Matt was truly heartful, beautiful and outstanding. Our fondness and great memories will keep Matthew alive in out hearts forever.

To my Carlin Cousins,
Matt's passing is a loss to be sure, but he is now at rest. Let your healing begin knowing he is with his mother, grandparents, and all the others who went before. He is at peace with the Lord.

Matt, you will be missed by many. Such a great guy. Lot's of fond memories. RIP brother.

what can I say besides Matt was a great guy. his wife and children were so blessed to have him in their lives. Matt I hope you are having the time of your life crossing over that rainbow bridge. some day I will see you on the other side. you fought a hard battle for 9 years. god bless you. may you Rest In Peace
