Father Faschan was my uncle. I have fond memories of him as a young child and all through my adult life. He was always laughing and full of fun, my mom said he was even like that as a little boy.
God bless and rest in peace.

I never met Rev. Faschan, but he is part of my family on my husband's side. My Mother-in-Law spoke of him months ago and it inspired my son (who is in a rock band) to write a song. If the family would like the lyrics (the music is not finished yet, but the band is working on it), they can contact me through my email address. Rev. Matthew J. Faschan will live forever in the lyrics of the song written by Theo Anderson of ENVY called "Father Faschan".

Fr. Faschen was pastor at St. Joseph in Paulina when I was married. He was a dear friend of my parents and spent many an evening at dinner with them. A person who devotes his life to God has only one reward and that is great in heaven. May he rest in peace.

I remember Father Faschan well when I worked at Charlet Funeral Home.............He was such a jokester and he was loved by all that he met. He will be greatly missed.

My prayers continue for you Father. You were an inspiration to me as a little boy and you continued to make a difference throughout my adult life. Thanks to your love for the church, you can surely be credited with my continued devotion to Our Lord, Our Lady, and the Mother Catholic Church. Your tender love for humanity--and your corny jokes!--will truly be missed.
