Just heard the news and so sad for your family. You were a great friend -glad our paths crossed and I'll always remember you.

Matthew was such a lovely person and alway spread happiness and cheer wherever he went. I was fortunate enough to see him just before Xmas and the positivity and wonderful attitude that he had is something I will always remember. God bless you Matthew you were a wonderful person. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news about Matthew's untimely death. He was always ready and willing to help and very supportive of the local community. Burgess Hill has lost a good friend and we will miss him greatly.

Matthew,you were the best person to do my Dads funeral back in 2018,you all made a very sad day so special from us.

I am so very saddened by Matthew's passing. He conducted my mother' and then my brother's and last year my sister in law's funeral with enormous care and helped us all bear our loss. Such a kind a happy person. I dont think I will ever forget him. My heart is sore for his partner and his dear family.

I am deeply shocked and saddened by this news. My father and stepmother have known Matthew, Pat and Sandy for many years and always spoke warmly of them. Matthew was there at Cuckfield Churchyard when my father was 'laid to rest' and was a positive force at a moment of extreme poignancy for us. We send our love and warmest wishes to Pat and Sandy and will be thinking of them as they try and come to terms with their tragic loss. Andy Revell

Mathew arranged my lovely mums funeral, only back in September. He came round to the house, and immediately put all of us at ease, he was sympathetic, emphatic and respectful. I will always be thankful for that. Such a lovely guy. X

I was very sorry to learn that Matthew passed away recently. So sad when a life is taken too early. He always had a smile, was very friendly, very professional & his presence around Burgess Hill town centre will be greatly missed. I often saw him striding along Church Walk & we would exchange hellos. My thoughts are with Matthews family.

I worked with Matthew arranging numerous funerals through St Andrews as their administrator and then as a bereavement counsellor through SAIF Care. I am deeply shocked to hear the news of Matthew's death. He was such a caring and energetic individual. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Virginia Nicholls
