Matthew Gallagher Obituary
Matthew J. Gallagher, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the age of 61 years. He was a mechanic for Con Edison in Manhattan, NY and served in the Marine Corps. Beloved son of the late Matthew Gallagher and Anna Maria (nee Egan). Dearest brother of Eileen Foley and her husband Glen of Saddle Brook, Francis Gallagher and his wife Kari of Fair Lawn, Margaret Kavana and her husband Russell of New Windsor, NY, and James Gallagher and his wife Gretta of Waldwick. Loving nephew of Margaret (nee Egan) and her husband Pat McGirl of Washington Township, and Ellie Egan of Washington Township. Cherished uncle of Will, Ann Marie, Russell, Amanda, Ashley, Erin, Kaitlyn, Brian, Alish, Matthew, Daniel, and Kiera. The funeral on Friday, June 23rd at 9:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
