Matthew will be remembered fondly. Although living separate lives, when I think of Matthew I always smile. He was quick to bring a smile or a laugh and will always have a place in my heart. Many blessings to all his family and friends who miss him while he travels down his new path and may his journey be peaceful.

I just heard the sad news. It has been years since I last saw Matt. When I look back at all the people I grew up with, I have a special memory of each. With Matt it was a birthday party in elementary school. My condolences to all; I will say a prayer for the memories and pray that Matt is at peace.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Matthew's passing. As a co-worker he was a great support to me and so many others. Matthew was someone I respected for his strong ethics but enjoyed being with because of his easy-going manner and his wonderful sense of humor. I know he will be dearly missed.

My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Hall and all of Matt's family. You and he will be in my prayers!

Maureen, my deepest sympathy at this time. Matt was a wonderful friend and neighbour at Pinewood. Something will always be missing now. Pinewood lost a camper, heaven got an angel and he has probably already picked out a new touque. Take care, hugs.

My thoughts go out to you Maureen. I may have only known Matthew when he was a little boy but I have often thought of him and asked about him. He truly was a special boy to me and it sounds like he turned out to be a wonderful man as well. I know no words can truly soften a blow dealt so harshly but I wish you love and support and wonderful happy memories.

To Matt's family
Teachers get to interact with many students, and sometimes one stays in our memory and in our heart because he is special. Just thinking about him warms my heart, so news of his passing brings sadness. My sympathies to you for your loss.

I will remember Matt for His great sense of humour and kind manner. I was lucky enough to meet Matt through mutual friends Jon Rowan and Richard Carrier back in the mid 90s. We would play basketball at Brantwood Park, I remember he was incredible fast and every time I saw Him he would always be able to make me laugh. He was a great Guy. My sincere condolences.

My deepest sympathies.... I will truly miss Matthew (or Matty as I used to call him, he told me only I could say that and get away with it )... He had a heart of gold and would do anything he could to help any of his friends, I guess God needed to recall one of his angels.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Matthews family! I pray that he is at peace. He will always be remembered as that man who dressed up in military uniform at Immaculata. He always had a smile and always found a way to make others feel wanted and appreciated! You will always be thought of. You are in good hands now and I am sure you are at peace! Thank you for being a kind friend!!! XO

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

My deepest sympathies to you all during this most difficult time.

Matt and I were friends from high school. In a way that only he could, Matt came to my rescue one day while I was being harrased by another student, and became one of my heroes.

We had lost touch a few years ago, but he has never been far from my thoughts and will forever be in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.

Matt, I love you and will forever be grateful to have had you in my life.

It will be the little things that you remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now,it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

Our deepest condolences to Maureen, family and friends.
