Our much loved Matt was born in Wichita Falls November 3, 1976. He was fatally injured by a drunk driver in an automobile accident September 6, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 28, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with Chaplain Gwen Morman officiating.

Matt was a 1995 graduate of Rider High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, Midwestern State University and was currently enrolled at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Although his interests changed over the years he was most interested in pediatric oncology. Matt was employed by Caesars International for many years. His family is very grateful to Caesars International for their assistance, love and support for Matt during this heartbreaking time. He moved to Las Vegas many years ago, but always had plans to return home.

Matt started taking Tae Kwon Do lessons at an early age, earning his black belt in 1986 from the World Tae Kwon Do Federation. Matt was a graceful, determined and insurmountable opponent. In 2010, he was asked by MMA Worldwide magazine to write an article examining movies that influenced their audience to pursue martial arts. The article was published in issue 24. Matt was an avid sports fan and a lifelong supporter of his Dallas Cowboys.

Matt was a loving, loyal, generous and kind son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his mother, Debbie Sutton, his father Roy Hammond and wife Laura, his sister Ashley Tucker and husband Louis, his devoted brother Sam Sutton, stepfather Mark Sutton and his wife Sheri, Aunts Suellen Hogue and Donna Bloom and Uncle Jeff Hammond not to mention numerous cousins and friends. Matt was a doting uncle to his nephew, Lennon Tucker and his niece, Gemma Tucker. Last but not least his best friends in the world who he loved so much Joe Hewitt and Chris Staab.
