Matthew Kaswinkel

Matthew David Kaswinkel, born on April 28, 1959, in Schenectady, New York, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in Dawsonville, Georgia.

A graduate of Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, class of 1977, Matthew pursued higher education at Santa Fe College. He built a successful career as a freelance video engineer, where his technical expertise were widely recognized. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he was the proud owner of Kaz' Bar, a venture of his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to hard work.

Matthew had a passion for hands-on projects and creative pursuits. He found joy and fulfillment in house remodeling and car restoration, demonstrating his craftsmanship and attention to detail much like his father. Photography was another of his cherished hobbies; through his lens, he captured moments that reflected his artistic vision and unique perspective.

Family was at the heart of Matthew's life. He is survived by his two children, Mathew Kaswinkel (Christa) and Deanna Zrakas (Jay); his mother, Shirley Kaswinkel; his brother, John Kaswinkel (Patti); Twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a niece. His family brought him immense pride and joy throughout his life.

Matthew's legacy is one of creativity, hard work, and love for those closest to him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
